Image Management with Spotlight Web Services

Professional website image management

Spotlight Web Services (SWS) image manager is easy and fast! These tools are good enough for a professional photographer but easy enough to use for small website owners. This article will help you understand how to upload and manage your images for your website using Spotlight Web Services CMS.

In the SWS image manager you upload one photo at a time or you can upload and process a group of photos. Many CMS hosting services have you upload images per page of your website. In SWS all your images are uploaded to folders depending on privacy settings you choose or folder names. You can click on each image to edit the title, alt tag and hash tags. Hash tags attached to an image and then attached to a page make updating pages so much easier than one by one method most CMS API services offer. Let's say you have a hash tag for 'Wedding June 2020'. In this hash you have 20 photos and attached to a page that you write about the fabulous day. Later you find some more photos and want to add to that album. As you upload those photos you just attach to that hash tag and voila! Images will be attached to that page. If the hash tag is attached to other pages, they are updated as well.

Always remember to hit PUBLISH before you log out to update your live website. Your updates only go to the live site when you hit the PUBLISH button. So work in peace knowing what you are typing does not go live immediately.
